Ruth Buchanan has been drawing horses since childhood. After a career in graphic design she returned to her first love, painting horses, and now works from her studio near Wetherby, West Yorkshire. In addition to painting her own
observations, Ruth is widely commissioned and has worked in America, Portugal and Dubai as well as the UK.
In 2012 Ruth's work can be seen at Bramham Horse Trials, The Great Yorkshire Show Art Show and Burghley Horse Trials Lifestyle Pavilion. We are still booking and arranging other shows so please check back for updates.

Bramham Horse Trials - first show this year - 7th-10th June 2012
Our first show this year will be Bramham Horse Trials and Ruth's new paintings will be on show for the first time. Bramham Horse Trials runs from 7th to 10th June and we are hoping for a good turn out with so many others having been cancelled recently due to the unpredictable weather. The Event Director, Nick Pritchard, says that there is a good grass covering which is draining well and that the ground is looking fantastic at the moment. As in previous years there is a late shopping evening on Friday 8th June. Entry to the site is free after 4pm the shopping is open until 8pm so come and say hello! We can be found at stand 11, overlooking the main arena.
Latest News: Bramham will be running the CIC 3* cross country on Sunday 10th June as well as the CCI 3* on Saturday to accommodate
the increased number of entries resulting from earlier event cancellations. . . so a full weekend of cross country action in store!
Also if you book your tickets in advance you will save the daily parking charge. See you there.
